Thai Square – Noosaville

If you find yourself in Noosaville looking for an excellent, affordable meal, look no further than Thai Square located on Wayba Road, but be warned, if you want to eat in their restaurant  bookings are recommended.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Luckily for me I was staying next door at the Coco Bay Resort, so ordering the take away didn’t cause me any problems.  By the time I walked the 100 metres back to my room everything was still hot.  If you want to see my review on the Coco Bay, go to tripadvisor.com.au and search for Coco Bay Resort, Noosaville. I can thoroughly recommend it.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Usually when I’m away I only order a main meal, but today I missed out on lunch so feeling extremely hungry decided to have an entrée as well.  I chose the spring rolls (4), with some hesitation.  Spring Rolls are one of those things that can vary greatly and I can safely say that I’ve had some shockers over the years, but at $6.50 the price was right to give them a go. A stroke of genius I thought to myself as I devoured the last one.  They were magnificent! Full of vegetables, encased in crisp rice paper which crunched with each bite and accompanied with a small pot of sweet chilli dipping sauce.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

For mains I had the Chicken and Cashew Stir Fry with Vegetables in a Sweet Chilli Jam. After the entrée, this was ever so slightly disappointing and for a very strange reason. Believe it or not, there was too much chicken and it was slightly overcooked and a touch dry, even in the delicious sweet chilli jam sauce.  For myself, being a life long committed carnivore I could actually have done with some more broccoli, cauliflower and carrots to balance out  the chicken.  At $12.90 it was great value for money.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

While I didn’t get a chance to eat there, I did have an opportunity to watch the staff and the service they provided.  It was First Class.  I can’t recall too many other occasions where I have been offered a glass of iced water while waiting for my take away with a couple of Mentos thrown in.  It’s funny how  those little things can make a world of difference.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
